MSI's memory performance is a whisker slower than what we observed on the ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming though it's all still within a margin of error. The memory bandwidth improvement over Haswell is almost entirely accounted for by the higher starting frequency of DDR4 (2,133MHz) compared to the 1,866MHz kit we tested with on Z97.
