Uniformity and Efficiency

Colour uniformity

Colour uniformity tends to suffer on ultra-wide monitors. We look for a variance of less than five, so full credit to Asus for delivering excellent consistency across the large 35in panel.

Luminance uniformity

Luminance uniformity isn't quite as good, yet readings of less than 10 per cent are difficult to notice during real-world use.

We expect higher power consumption on a monitor of this calibre, but the increase isn't dramatic. What's arguably more of a concern is the large 280W external power brick that's bundled with the display; surely something smaller and less conspicuous would have sufficed?
