Introduction

What has been your best computing-related purchase, I wonder?

Would you say it was a certain graphics card that opened up a whole new gaming dimension? Perhaps it was that ever-so-lovely chassis that takes pride of place?

The answer is relatively simple as far as I'm concerned. The most crucial piece of hardware, without doubt, is my screen. It's what my eyes look at hour after hour and it has to be absolutely top-notch.

That's why I've invested heavily in displays from the get-go. TFTs have now taken over my desk ever since lifting a Sony FW900 24in CRT almost gave me a hernia.

The latest in a long line is the Dell 3007WFP-HC - a high-resolution monitor that I personally shelled out over £1,000 for some 5 months ago, to replace an original 3007WFP. What follows is my personal view on its attributes. Read from that what you will. After reading my viewpoint I encourage you to share your thoughts in the HEXUS.community.

Let's get to it...
