Benchmarks: Power and Noise

The use of a quad-core Intel Pentium processor results in a peak power consumption reading of 21 watts, with that figure falling to 18 watts when idle and just nine watts after the drives have entered sleep mode. It's also worth noting that the PR2100 isn't the quietest NAS on show - the internal fan is only barely audible, however the unit does struggle to soak-up vibration when the hard disks are accessed.
