Introduction



A KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) can be a godsend if you're using multiple machines on a regular basis, because it allows you to run two, or more, systems using, well, a single keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

However, with ever-increasing demands for multimedia connectivity, a number of KVM devices have fallen behind the times, lacking HDCP support for high-definition video playback, or multi-channel audio-switching.

Conversely, ATEN's two-system CS1782 appears to be bang up-to-date. Let's take a closer look at this £80 box o' tricks.
