Conclusion

...Rosewill adopts this value-centric mantra with the Bronze 1,000W model that's been a mainstay of the catalogue for the last few years.

The extra number of players in the PSU market has raised standards to an extent that there are very few poor supplies around. This is good news for you, the enthusiast, as purchasing almost any brand guarantees a reasonable level of performance.

Nowhere is this thinking better illustrated than with entry-level supplies that forego some of the niceties of 80 PLUS Platinum models. Rosewill adopts this value-centric mantra with the Bronze 1,000W model that's been a mainstay of the catalogue for the last few years.

Set at an aggressive price point for its capacity, it's something of an oddity because companies plying this level of wattage often accompany it with the best efficiency ratings. Having a 1,000W PSU with Bronze certification means it's suited to enthusiasts who need massive wattage but don't want to pay a fortune for doing so.

We come away with the feeling that Rosewill offers a no-nonsense supply that's high on capacity and value. Certainly one to think about when speccing that next leccy-guzzling build.

First line, ‘etailers’ - is this a missing ‘R’ or a new word? E-tailer does sounds pretty good for online retailers…
So it's much like an american muscle car then- inefficient, cheap as hell in it's native country and probably won't last much longer than the warranty.

I can't take credit in having introduced this word to the world. It's a known reference for internet retailing. :)
Surely if you can afford the totally OTT system that would need a PSU with this kind of output you could afford to get a better quality one?

I think they're targeting the kinds of people who splash out on the headline components like CPU and GPU and then cheap out on the rest of their hardware.
