Presentation, Bundle and Manual

Rather than the cardboard box packaging we're used to from so many products, Hiper has gone the extra mile here and packaged the product in a rather nice plastic box with clips to hold the lid in place.

The side of the package shows some of the bullet points of interest for the PSU, including the fact that it supports up to version 2.2 of the ATX 12V specification, includes a built-in SATA connector and makes use of 'EZ-Grip' Molex connectors among other things.

However, with this power supply you get more than just the PSU itself - Hiper have also thrown in an 80mm system fan to match the style of the PSU, meaning a red LED for the red package, and an LED free variant for the silver and black products.

You can see how the fan supplied with the red version of the PSU looks in use below.

Inside the package, we find this fan, along with the PSU itself, multi-lingual owner's manual, US and UK power leads and 24 to 20-pin ATX connector converter (The power supply uses a 24-pin connector by default). Unlike the red and black products, the silver package also contains another added bonus which you can see here, in the form of two rounded IDE cables. However, disappointingly these extra IDE cables seem to come at the expense of a UK power lead, which is a rather large omission for a power supply!

The manual is a fancy-looking affair from the outside. The inside turns out to be a reasonably comprehensive guide to the complete specifications and operating ranges of the PSU, telling you everything you need to know (and no doubt a lot that you don't need to know as well!). The translation to English isn't perfect, but still remains understandable.

On the side of the power supply, we find all the information you would expect detailing the basic specification for the output of the part.

All in all, a sumptuous and comprehensive package, so (missing UK power lead on the silver package aside) top marks thus far.
