Gaming trails off a bit compared to the DDR4-3600 CL16 or, especially, DDR4-3200 CL14 kits. What's more important than the average framerate is the drop-off in the minimums, so it does pay to invest in either higher speed or lower latency memory if running a quality subsystem like the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and Ryzen 9 3900X, as used here.
