It's unusual to see so much deviation in the 3DMark results. Regular 3200 memory is normally no slouch but doesn't score well here. Moving on to the CL14 G.Skill only has a marginal benefit, while the reviewed pack steams ahead. The results were consistent over multiple runs.
In other tests, the improvements over cheaper, slower memory are less evident, and certainly not large enough for one to feel on a day-to-day basis.
