IGP performance

One could make the case that the real beneficiary of faster system memory is the integrated graphics, whose memory bandwidth is taken from the system's. Running different speed-grades shows very little gain to be had by switching from anything better than generic RAM rated at 9-9-9-24-2T and 1,600MHz.

3DMark Vantage is less GPU-bound than 3DMark 11, and we find a three per cent difference between the best- and worst-performing modules. The less-than-stellar numbers from the G.Skill 2,400MHz-rated kit continue to puzzle.

And the last two real-world IGP gaming tests also give the nod to the Patriot memory.
