We're in the process of updating our text equipment to be able to test 10GbE networking capabilities, but in the meantime we've been able to benchmark the TS-253B as a standalone solution in RAID 1, and as a cached configuration with dual M.2 SSDs installed via the QM2-2S10G1T expansion card.

As expected, the Qnap NAS has no trouble saturating the network connection in the sequential throughput test, and the use of a quad-core Intel processor allows it to maintain a strong showing in demanding 4K Q32 tests. Enabling the SSD cache sees a performance increase of between 10 and 15 per cent.
