The Synology DS918+ and Qnap TS-453Bmini are the two NAS devices in our charts offering four-bays, an Intel Celeron J3455 processor and 4GB of memory. Both are configured in a RAID 10 configuration, but while the Qnap was tested with 4TB WD Reds, the Synology has been filled with 8TB Seagate IronWolf drives. Performance is quick, and as expected the DS918+ has no trouble effectively saturating the Gigabit interface when performing sequential transfers.
