Our four-bay NAS servers are typically tested using a RAID 10 array, but given that the DS1019+ has an odd number of bays, we've tested using Synology Hybrid RAID with single-disk redundancy.

The numbers are impressive, with the DS1019+ proving to be one of the quickest NAS solutions at this price point. Saturating the Gigabit interface isn't difficult, and with the option for M.2 caching, we reckon Synology needs to start giving greater consideration to 2.5GbE, 5GbE or 10GbE in future models.
