Our second test takes a real-world approach by copying two large directories weighing in at a total of 12.3GB. Performance is in line with expectations the first time around, but the second run, where caching plays a part, suggests that Seagate's combination of DRAM and SLC provisioning isn't quite as well tuned as some of the competitors.
FireCuda 510 is undoubtedly fast, and anyone upgrading from a mechanical drive will feel a massive improvement, but PCMark and Final Fantasy place the 1TB drive fractionally behind the equivalent Corsair MP510.
