Synthetic tests don't always paint the full picture, mind. Running the latest firmware at the time of writing, the 1TB KC2000 performs particularly well in the caching benchmark, and also responds admirably to PCMark's real-world traces before delivering one of the best load times we've seen in Final Fantasy XIV. Healthy numbers all round, however the more affordable A2000 is no slouch; are most consumers going to notice a 2.7 per cent reduction in game load time? Probably not.
