It is usual for drives to surpasss their manufacturer-rated sequential speeds in CrystalDiskMark, which is used as a sanity check. That is the case here, too, and putting the numbers into perspective demands readers take notice of the 2x sequential improvement over an entry-level drive such as the Kioxia Exceria.

We wonder what this drive allied to a PCIe 4.0 interface could do.

There's less in it as far as 4K files are concerned, but we're still seeing solid performance.
