Benchmarks: Power Consumption

Please bear in mind that Armari's NAS box has larger drives than the comparison Thecus and QNAP boxes.

Equipped with three fans and an IPMI processor, the BrontaStor 4TE consumes more power than our comparison servers both when idle and under load.

There's also no built-in standby function, and its drives are unable to spin down when idle.

However, when powered down, the BrontaStor 4TE consumes roughly six watts of power and continues to allow users to remotely access the server via IPMI. A power schedule can also be configured for the server to be powered on/off at certain times of the day, as well.
