Benchmarks: File Copy and Power Draw

Our File Copy test entails copying an 8.83GB directory of mixed-sized files from our client to the server. The bandwidth available to the BrontaStor's 10 Gigabit interface means that it is able to complete the transfer in under 14 seconds.

Of course, this level of performance does come at an energy cost. The high-end components powering the 822R do chew through more power than your average NAS, with the box pulling roughly 100 watts when idle.
