Benchmarks: Power Consumption
Power consumption is fractionally higher than we'd anticipated for a dual-bay NAS based on the ARM architecture, however the TS3200's biggest disadvantage with regards to efficiency is that there doesn't appear to be an option for drives to enter sleep. The likes of the Synology DS216j and Qnap HS-251+ are able to cut power draw down to below 10 watts after a period of activity, making the Buffalo inefficient in comparison.
