It wasn't long ago that the GeForce GTX 1080 was top-dog in the Nvidia portfolio. These days, it's a four-tier solution and, and with the arrival of hard-hitters such as the GTX 1080 Ti and Titan Xp, it is arguably no longer suited to a £2,000+ build. In case you're wondering, the G20CI implementation isn't the latest version with 11Gbps memory.
On the other hand, it delivers an impressive level of performance for a small-form-factor machine, though Asus hasn't truly been able to tame the GPU - a score of 91.8 per cent in the Time Spy Stress Test is one of the lowest we've seen and doesn't bode well for consistency.
4K UHD is in most cases a step too far for GeForce GTX 1080, but this combination of CPU and GPU remains well suited to high-quality gaming at FHD of QHD resolutions. The G20CI sat alongside a G-Sync monitor capable of 2,560x1,440 at up to 120Hz would deliver a lush gaming experience.
