Benchmarks: Noise
There had to be a snag, didn't there? With little in the way of BIOS optimisation, the chassis and CPU fan are allowed to run louder than we'd like at low load. The system is clearly audible when idle, but on the plus side, it doesn't get much more vocal when stressed, with the Asus graphics card, in particular, keeping nice and quiet when gaming.
This is an area where premium, finely-tuned systems tend to stand out, but spend a bit of time tweaking the fan profiles and the AlphaSync could certainly be made quieter.
