The 64-core Threadripper 3990X featured in the Scan PC can leave everything else seeming relatively ordinary in heavily multi-threaded workloads, but the 32-core Threadripper 3970X is no slouch. Performance is right in line with expectations, and with the 3970X featuring higher peak clock speeds than its 64-core sibling - 4.5GHz vs. 4.3GHz - the second-rung chip has the edge in lightly-threaded scenarios.

Of course, as an RTX Studio showcase, there's an emphasis on GPU acceleration to bolster the system's all-round credentials. With Titan RTX doing the heavy lifting, the time taken to render the Cosmos Laundromat scene in Blender can be reduced from six minutes to two-and-half minutes. Either way, the Vector T9A-R is undoubtedly quick.
