Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory results paint a similar picture to Far Cry's. A heavily overclocked GeForce 7950 GX2 is a reasonable match for stock-clocked SLI'd 7900 GTX cards.

Performance summary

Vadim's Fusion Cetus is easily the fastest PC when evaluated via 2D benchmarks. The use of a 'single' GeForce 7950 GX2, albeit overclocked, puts its 3D speed on a par with most machines that feature 7900 GTX cards in SLI.

Had Vadim wanted the ultimate PC when judged from every facet it would have used overclocked, and preferably watercooled, ATI Radeon X1900 cards on the ASUS i975X CrossFire-supporting motherboard, or opted to wait until nForce 590 SLI Intel Edition was released and added in a couple of overclocked 7900 GTX models, again water cooled.

The Fusion Cetus is blisteringly fast in gaming, but not ultimately so.
