An SSD is a must for any high-performance rig, and the 256GB Seagate X110 is a solid all-rounder with good performance and reasonable capacity. Why was the Hadron Hydro that extra bit quicker? Simple, it used a 500GB Samsung 840 EVO, which can be added to the Z97 Vengeance 780 as a £65 upgrade. Considering the minimal extra cost, and the near-doubling of capacity, the Samsung drive is highly recommended.
