How's that for a result? The Nightblade 3 HEX is small, it is powerful, and it also runs unexpectedly cool. The liquid-cooler is doing a fantastic job of keeping the Core i7-4790K chilled at all times, and the graphics card appears to have a sufficient supply of clean air, too. Overclocking headroom, you might say.

The catch? Well, there had to be one, and there is: Nightblade gets loud. MSI is keen to point out the speed and airflow of the chassis' single fan - and, true, it does cool well - but be aware that it also kicks out a fair amount of noise. We measured a sound reading of 42.3dB when idle - that's already too distracting for our liking - and the noise levels only rise under load, peaking at a loud 48.6dB when gaming.
