Conclusion

...Primal GT2 covers most bases with 16GB of DDR4 memory, a 240GB SSD and a GeForce GTX 970 geared for ultra-high-quality 1080p gaming.

There has arguably never been a better time to consider downsizing to a smaller PC. Thinking of taking the gaming rig out of the den and into the living room? Having to clear out space for the kids? The other half laid down an ultimatum? Or perhaps you've simply outgrown the big, hulking tower you once adored?

Whatever the reason, small gaming PCs are now in a position to offer full-size performance and functionality in a more compact form factor. Showcasing these very attributes, DinoPC's Primal GT2 is a well-rounded system that will slip easily into most environments while offering an amalgamation of hardware that outmuscles any dedicated games console.

Powered by a sixth-generation Intel Core processor, Primal GT2 covers most bases with 16GB of DDR4 memory, a 240GB SSD and a GeForce GTX 970 geared for ultra-high-quality 1080p gaming.

Noise levels can become irksome, and it's a shame the system isn't tuned for near-silent running, but that's the only real blot on an otherwise well-rounded specification sheet. Factor in USB Type-C connectivity and built-in dual-band wireless, and you have an £899 PC that ticks a lot of the right boxes.

Ordering page doesn't work :o - seems good value
That's a keen price - I suspect they could swap in a slightly cheaper full size 970, reduce temps and noise, and make a few more quid on each one. The V300 post bait-and-switch isn't a good choice, but margins are tight so fair enough.
I wouldn't mind that the GPU is at the ITX form factor. Gives everything else some extra room to breathe and gives a cleaner build.
