The straight-line speed is decent, if not great, from the solid-state drive. Burst speed is a little lower than we expected, as well.



The graph, above, is correct. Lightening accesses will aid the SSD drive when transferring a bunch of small files. We compared the boot-up time of the Vadim system and a HEXUS machine kitted out with a regular hard drive. Surprisingly, the HEXUS machine returned a better time.





Nothing wrong with USB2.0 or FireWire400 performance, though.
