There are a couple of issues with this store that they need to address...
Firstly, be forewarned that you\'ll be charged immediately for the whole order, even if one or more of the items aren\'t actually in stock. I\'ve not checked up on this, but was told that it was illegal to charge until the time of despatch, even if stated to the contrary in their terms & conditions of sale? Not so bad if they\'re able to obtain stock reasonably quickly, I guess.
The other issue is that the site doesn\'t display the status of your order on an item by item basis, so you can\'t see if something you\'ve pre-ordered has arrived and has been allocated, nor if a lead date is given by their supplier or changed. All you\'re able to do is enter your order number into their parcel tracking page, only to see that nothing\'s been picked or despatched.
To compound this, although you\'ll receive an automated email listing any items that are out of stock at the time of ordering, initially, there are no automated email updates on the statuses of items on your order. The result of this is that your only option is to manually chase them up yourself, either by mail or by phone (be prepared for a long wait on hold and a customer services rep that ushers you to end the call before you\'re able to get the imformation you want out of them; of course, they\'ll be happy to email you later, when it suits them).
In summary, they have a reasonable range of products at competitive prices, but pre-ordering items with long lead dates can test your patience, due to lack of detailed order information and proper (estimated) lead date functionality for stock availability; after all, they\'ll already have your money - why should they care if they leave you waiting indefinately for your goods. :clock: :worried:
Appalling service for me, unfortunately. First time buying at this store and will definately be the last...
Ordered a fan on 1st Dec which was listed as \'Ships within 48 hours\'. On 6th Dec, my order was still at \'awaiting processing\' so I emailed them. They said it was due to being a new account but that they\'d authorise the order and ship it, so fair enough.
However, by 12th Dec, the fan had still not arrived; order was showing as \'awaiting stock\'. They replied saying that they\'d have them in stock \'in the next couple of days\'.
By 16th Dec, there was still nothing shipped so I asked them to send me a different fan and credit me for the difference. This they did, but the fan that turned up was next to useless, as it came with 2 bare wires and not a molex connector (product was called \'Panaflo 120mm 4 Pin Fan).
As I don\'t have tools for connecting wires to molex connectors, I mailed them about the situation and asked them to send me either a wired molex connector or a cheap fan with a molex connector, so I could solder it onto the Panaflo myself. They replied on 21st Dec saying that they\'d do this for me. However, nothing\'s ever turned up. I can\'t be arsed anymore to even chase this up.
All my correspondence was polite and civilised, so I shudder to think how they\'d have acted if it wasn\'t.
In summary, poor product descriptions, poor availability accuracy, website anomalies (prices showing in my order details were screwed after the amendment), broken promises.
Ordered various components on 2nd Dec, due to good availability and pricing. Items arrived undamaged, so adequately packaged, after 2 business days. Would not hesitate to order from them again.
Edit: They also have a great forum full of helpful mods and even the store owner posts regularly; in response to Pleiades grievances, the site owner did post a note about the impending move on Dec 10th and explained that there may be delays in orders, which is understandable. ::/
