Press release

Motherboard giant ASRock has appointed Yorkshire-based Target Components as official UK distributor in a bid to increase its share of the UK market.

Target have recently announced record performance for their year ending March 2010, with turnover up over 35%, and claim even higher growth in the current year to date.

ASRock's European Account Manager, Tim Hioe, commented "We are delighted to sign Target as official ASRock distributor. It is unusual to find a long-established distributor enjoying the level of growth that Target have over the last two years, and we believe that our combination of feature-rich boards at exciting price-points can help to contribute to their continued growth."

Tim states that the appointment of Target was also influenced by the breadth of the distributor's customer base of independent retailers, e-tailers, and system integrators, and their reputation for supporting their customers' business. "We aim to significantly increase our share of the UK market, and we believe that the way to do so is by working in partnership with retailers and integrators. Target's close relationship with their customers, and their reputation for excellent customer care, make them the ideal distribution partner for ASRock."

ASRock will add to Target's existing motherboard portfolio, including Gigabyte and Biostar, and Product Manager Glen Rhodes believes the addition will complement the range nicely.

"We're delighted to have ASRock on board. We felt that we had room for one additional motherboard brand at this stage, and it was important to choose a brand that offered the right combination of breadth of range, quality products, and attractive prices for our customers. ASRock offer some great product solutions, such as the G41MH-USB3, offering USB3 connectivity at a low pricepoint, and the K10N78SLIX3-WIFI, sporting Triple-SLI capability on the AM2+ platform".
