In an open letter from Best Buy, and following on from reports earlier this month, the company has announced that both its UK stores and website will be closing on January 15th, 2012.
The firm will continue to honour existing service agreements, such as extended warranties, on products already purchased, however, recommends that anyone with store credit or gift vouchers spend them as soon as possible as the company begins clearance sales from now, until closing, at the start of next year. We note that new service plans will not be offered for purchased products, though of course by UK law, manufacturer warranties will remain unaffected. Those looking for a good deal perhaps best get buying from Best Buy, as this is a stock clearance sale, popular items are likely to disappear from the shelves fairly quickly.
