IFA 2019 Berlin, 09 September 2019 – Sharp, one of the world's leading electronics groups, is showcasing a range of innovative audio products at IFA, 2019. Sharp is adding new solutions to its comprehensive portfolio for premium music enjoyment, including portable Bluetooth® speakers, a premium digital internet radio and a full-feature smart micro-sound system.
Great sound from large and small packages
The new Bluetooth speaker GX-BT60 is the latest member of the GX series. Despite its pocket-size, the GX-BT60 comes with True Wireless Stereo sound with the passive bass radiator providing an extra portion of bass. 10 hours of music playtime, the speaker saves energy with its auto switch function. With a one-touch button, you can connect with language Siri or Google Assistant, making it simple and easy to use. The IPX67 splash proof protection and fastening strap also make the GX-BT60 perfect for outdoor use.
New portable party speakers, PS919 (130W) and PS929 (180W), make music loud and colourful. Powerful True Wireless Stereo sound with equalizer function and a built-in LED lightshow make the speakers from Sharp a must-have for every party. Music can be streamed wirelessly via Bluetooth, and devices can be connected via a USB and AUX input.
The PS919 compact size, 22cm x 22cm, and waterproof casing (IPX5) make it ideal for outdoor parties. With a total of four 2,600mAh lithium batteries the speaker can supply up to 14 hours of music playtime. It can also be mounted onto a tripod.
The model PS929 has an integrated microphone and two additional micro inputs. In addition to the LED lightshow, a strobe light provides that real disco feeling. The PS929 can be used both horizontally and vertically and plays six hours of party music thanks to its integrated battery.
Unlimited musical variety
The XL-B615D (70W) Smart Micro Sound System is the right choice for those who also want to enjoy a comprehensive range of music at home. The digital internet radio with DAB/DAB+/FM and Bluetooth® also has an integrated CD player that supports CD/CR-R/CD-RW and MP3 formats. The USB input provides an additional playback source. With access to twelve different music streaming services, including Spotify, Amazon Music, Napster or Deezer, and over 10,000 internet radio stations, the XL-B615D offers a diverse selection of playlists, podcasts and radio shows. The XL-B615D is stylishly designed with a wooden cabinet and colour display which can be easily controlled by remote control or smartphone via the app.
Sharp also offers the DR-I470 Pro (30W) stereo internet and digital radio, a stylish all-rounder with alarm function in a modern wood finish and aluminium front. The dimmable colour display features a clock and alarm times as well as the weather. 60 station keys can be individually programmed with 27,000 internet radio stations already pre-sorted into categories for the user. The DR-I470 Pro is supplied with a remote control but can also be operated via app.
Prices and availability
The GX-BT60 portable Bluetooth speaker will be available from January 2020 at a recommended retail price of £29.99 in blue, red and black.
The PS919 and PS929 party speakers will be available from January 2020 at recommended retail prices of £109.99 and £119.99 respectively.
The XL-B615D is expected to be available for an RRP of £149.99 in Q1 2020. The DR-I470 Pro is available immediately for the recommended retail price of £119.99.
