PRESS RELEASE

SIP KX-UT Series Telephones Certified in Technology Partnership with Centile

Panasonic System Communications Company Europe (PSCEU) today announced certification for interoperability of the KX-UT series of SIP telephones with Centile Telecom Applications' Istra platform.

To achieve certification, Panasonic's KX-UT series had to pass a rigorous set of interoperability tests, encompassing basic functionality, advanced calling features, and automatic provisioning with the Centile Istra solution.  Certification guarantees maximum usability and productivity for end users and reliable low-maintenance service delivery in a win-win package for service providers and enterprise customers.

Panasonic's new KX-UT series offers a cost-effective communications solution for small and mid-size businesses that leverages the latest developments in hosted PBX technologies such as the Istra platform. Select models feature two data ports so users can connect a second network device without the time and expense of running an additional Ethernet cable.

All KX-UT series models are Power over Ethernet (PoE) ready which eliminates the need for additional electrical adaptors. Wide-band, high-definition audio (G. 722 codec) coupled with echo cancellation and an expanded acoustic chamber allows the KX-UT series to offer crisp sound quality for crystal clear conversation.

"Panasonic is committed to delivering innovative solutions and superior performance that offer reliable, flexible and cost-effective communications solutions for all the types of business customers" said Andreas Wessel, General Manager Network Communications in Panasonic. "Partnerships with leading European vendors like Centile ensure our customers have a wide range of options to meet their business communications needs."

"The Centile Istra platform has been designed to offer maximum flexibility and agility to telecoms service providers addressing the enterprise market" said Bertrand Pourcelot, Managing Director, Centile Telecom Applications. "The combination of the Centile platform and Panasonic's terminals offers the broadest range of advanced business telephony features, improving productivity and projecting an image of corporate professionalism and efficiency to callers and employees."

"The Panasonic commitment to a broad portfolio of feature-rich SIP-based enterprise terminals confirms the on-going market shift from costly proprietary technology to cost-effective interoperable and evolutive standard-based solutions."

Panasonic have just announced the release of the new, KX-UT670 Smart Desk Phone. This advanced SIP device represents the high-end of the Panasonic SIP terminal range, bringing advanced features and functionality to today's sophisticated business desktops.

UT670 adds a high end, executive model to the existing KX-UT range of SIP terminals, which now includes offerings at all levels of functionality and price, with all models sharing ‘best in class' high definition voice quality. The KX-UT113 and KX-UT123 basic SIP terminals offer solid functionality with competitive pricing, while the KX-UT133 and KX-UT136 business desktop terminals offer enhanced features such as programmable feature keys, with the same great reliability and sound quality. The range of UT phones will be completed next month with the launch of the Executive Model UT248.
