Rumble in the er... living room?
Yeah, yeah, we know… a chair’s for sitting on, right? Well, yeah… but this chair from PowerPlay is a little different as it has a full set of home theater speakers built into the chair bringing you a personal 5.1 surround sound experience.
Built by Empower Technologies, the PowerPlay Pro Media Chair has rear speaker built into the headrest with the center speaker set between your legs in the seat and the two front speakers on mounted arms out front (best place for front speakers, I guess…) Set into the back of the chair is a bass responsive ‘shaker’ to give you that ‘rumble in the guts’ feeling without needing the volume too high and under the chair is the amp and woofer unit.
Click for larger imageThe chair is controlled by the touch unit on the left hand side which lets you set the chair up just how you like it as well as do those mundane things like select a source and decoding type etc etc. If you fancy getting one, it will set you back a cool $999 for the basic model, but then you will have something to REALLY annoy the missus with!
