2. God of War III
Rarely has a game totally captivated and immersed us in its world right from the outset, grabbing us by the throat, taking us on a journey of epic proportions and moving us emotionally with its monumental gameplay. God of War III is a stunningly produced game, and despite claims that it’s only used up about 50% of the power of the PS3, it’s technically and graphically the best game on the console, bar none. God of War III is a fitting ending to one of the finest video game chapters in history.

1. Mass Effect 2
Not only has Mass Effect 2 taken the top honours among our readers, but HEXUS staff also feel that the sci-fi RPG deserves its place as the best game of 2010. Aside from the boring activity of scanning planets for minerals, Mass Effect 2 gets so many things right. The branching storyline is totally engrossing, its characters captivating, and the gameplay is rewarding. Mass Effect 2 is a cinematic experience that teters on gaming perfection.

Something strange going on here??:eek:

Halo Reach in 5th position with a Hexus score of 97%?? Are you guys ashamed to call this game the best of the year because of all the Halo haters??

Certainly seems that way to me … as it has become quite trendy to bash Halo and COD nowadays I think it just isn't cool enough for Hexus tbh.:rolleyes:

Agree with god of war 3 being highly regarded. (at no2) was my game of 2010 (with some indie pc games M+B Warband/Amnesia as close second/third)

Not at all. This is my personal favourite game of the year and I wrote the review. The rating is how I rated it. However, the final 10 was decided among a panel of 5.Personally, I would have had Mass Effect II then Halo Reach, but we discussed and came to a decision based on what we all thought.
