Arguably one of the best-looking and performing games on iPad, EA's survival-horror shooter follows the plight of an engineer named Isaac Clarke, who battles a virus-like infestation which turns humans into grotesque monsters called Necromorphs.
The experience on iPad
benefits from the game's extremely high production values, which helps
generate
the scary atmosphere that kept us on edge in the console version.
From the atmospheric lighting, detailed enemy design and haunting audio experience, the port loses none of its intensity and runs extremely smoothly despite many processor-intensive scenes.
Dead Space is a cinematic experience that won many accolades on its release in 2008. This iPad version reminds us why we liked it so much in the first place. If you want to experience one of the best horror shooters of recent times, then this could well be the best 69p you'll ever spend on iTunes.

Infinity Blade II

This heavily-scripted action role-playing game isn't devoid of bugs,
but it's a stunning sequel to the original game, boasting stronger
graphics while continuing the entertaining plot from Infinity Blade:
Awakening with some style.
Combining combat with mild role-playing game elements, including an EXP
system and the ability to enhance weapons and equipment, Infinity Blade
II gets fighting spot-on with an intuitive control scheme that fits the
iPad perfectly. There are a variety of combat styles to choose from, which keeps the action fresh.
The player controls the character's weapon(s) by swiping a
finger across the screen. Players can touch the bottom-left or bottom-right side of the screen to dodge attacks or the bottom-center of the
screen to block attacks with a shield, which breaks if used too much.
Now with the new dual-wield weapons they may also perform a downwards dodge. Finally, players may parry incoming attacks
by performing an intercepting sword move: nice!
Though the combat scheme is simple to learn, it's difficult to master, while
the challenge of beating some tough enemies across a variety of
gorgeous environments provides plenty of variety and entertainment.

Grand Theft Auto III

Released way back in 2001, Grand Theft Auto III still hasn't lost any
of its appeal on iPad. This 10th anniversary edition actually goes to
show how smoothly some of the classic console games could be ported to
iOS if proper attention is paid.
In terms of gameplay, this is a straight port of the award-winning
original game, but it's brilliant to be able to play the GTA series on
a portable device with a screen large enough to do Rockstar's graphics
justice and take advantage of the sandbox gameplay synonymous with the
series.
Combining elements of action, shooting, and driving various vehicles in a sandbox-style 3D world, Grand Theft Auto III implements touchscreen controls superbly to deliver the best portable GTA experience to date.
