Last year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was a bit of a letdown. Microsoft got its message all wrong and has been backtracking ever since, while Sony played it safe. And though the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 intrigued from a hardware point of view, neither had an onslaught of must-have games ready to capture our imagination.
This year things are a bit different. The new games consoles are finding their feet after an uncertain start - even the Wii U is having a Mario Kart-inspired resurgence - and the focus has shifted from the hardware to what matters most: games, games and more games.
Destiny, Sunset Overdrive, The Legend of Zelda, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Far Cry 4, Battlefield Hardline, Crackdown, and many, many more were on show from developers big and small, with all of them vying for your attention.
