Major Sponsor confirmed for Edinburgh in August

Microsoft has today been confirmed as a major sponsor of the annual Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival (EIEF06), joining stakeholders Sony, Nintendo, Future and Scottish Enterprise.

Microsoft, world leader in international computer software technology, has confirmed its support of the industry for a fourth year by becoming an official sponsor of the 2006 Festival. EIEF traditionally provides a unique platform for industry thought leaders and luminaries to explore the cultural future of interactive entertainment.

Stephen McGill, Head of Xbox UK Marketing, Microsoft, said: “EIEF is an important event in the UK video games calendar and we are delighted to be participating for a fourth year. EIEF is both entertaining and informative and, what we particularly like, is that the festival focuses on the future of the interactive entertainment industry and how we, as an industry, can shape that future.”[advert]
