This week's video game charts

The next-gen titles have had to take a couple of steps back this week, after Sony's controversial God of War II for the Playstation 2 stormed to the top of the charts.

Also making a new entry this week is Codemaster's MMORPG, Lord of the Rings Online, which has jumped into the charts in second place. Lord of the Rings Online becomes the second fastest selling MMORPG of all time, behind World of Warcraft. One of the best games of 2006, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, re-enters the charts at number 3, thanks to its re-emergence on PS3 last week.

The only other new entry in the top is Sony's Singstar Pophits, meanwhile last week's number 1, Pokemon Ranger, drops four places to number 5.
