New model coming this October

Following the announcement of the new 160GB PS3, Sony has now revealed that a new PSP model (PSP-3000) will launch across Europe, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand from 15th October 2008.

The enhancements to the new model mainly relate to the quality of the screen which will support higher image quality and improved colour definition.

The new PSP will offer the same functionality as the Slim & Lite models, however it will also include a built-in microphone, which will come in handy for users who use communication software such as Skype.

In a bid to tempt consumers to part with their cash, there will be a number of different bundles available, including the PSP and a game for €199.

In addition to the sliver model, which you can see below, the PSP 3000 will also come in piano black.
