Surreal banter

It wasn't the brightest move in the world to use Johnny Rotten to help promote Guitar Hero III at the recent launch party in the UK. The video footage taken by OXM has been uploaded to their site and shows the ex-Sex Pistol's front-man speaking his mind as per usual and starting his PR job by slating the title by saying "it's rubbish, I hate the whole thing".

The Sex Pistol's front-man continues with his candidness throughout the Q&A session, "I'll give it to you basic and honest. The offer came in and I took it home and I played it with a bunch of kids. What I like is it weren't teaching you how to be a rock star, it was teaching you how not to be a rock star..."

To be fair, he does go on to say that he loved the game, but the GHIII American PR rep, who gets some stick later in the video, must have been shaking his head with embarrassment at John's surreal banter and his microphone attack on the UK gaming journalists in the front row.

The whole video can be found at OXM, just click on the video in the top right hand corner to view it.
