New maps and characters, same old gameplay
Epic Games has finally confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament III will ship this summer and will feature exclusive content, including new characters and maps.The first person shooter has already shipped for PC and PS3,but this new version will feature two new characters, five new expansive maps and split screen capability, all exclusive to Xbox 360. Specific details are yet to be confirmed
"We're very excited to be bringing Unreal Tournament 3 to Xbox 360," said Mark Rein, vice president, Epic Games. "Whether playing against our fantastic AI 'bots' or playing online with friends over Xbox LIVE, UT3 is a great fast-paced game with spectacular environments, weaponry and vehicles. Its comprehensive multiplayer offerings are truly going to shine on Xbox LIVE."
Both the PC and PS3 versions allow for user-generated content, but it seems as though Epic's attempt to bring the feature to Xbox 360 wasn't successful.
A firm summer release date is still to be confirmed.
