Electronic Arts CEO, John Riccitello has confirmed during the company's third quarter earning call yesterday that sequels to two of its top titles are in development and will launch in early 2010.

Mass Effect 2 and a currently unnamed sequel to Battlefield Bad Company will be released sometime between January and March 2010.

These are in addition to the release, during the same time period, of Dante's Inferno, a twisted dark adventure based on the famous medieval poem.

"In Q4, Battlefield Bad Company will be back on consoles from our Dice Studio in Stockholm," said Riccitiello. "BioWare will release Mass Effect II on multiple platforms and the Redwood Shores game that gave us Dead Space will launch a brand new intellectual property based on Dante's Inferno."

It's most interesting that Mass Effect 2 has been cited as being a multi-platform title, perhaps PS3 gamers will finally get a chance to see what all the fuss was about?

Mass Effect 2 is good news for me - I really enjoyed that game, even if it was a bit easy. I'm not betting it will make it to a PC release though given the speed by which its price dropped after launch.

I would bet, and even throw in a PS3 release as well.

Exactly. PC gamers are the ones that have supported the BF franchise since the very beginning and to be abandoned now with little sign of any future development sux tbh.
