American rapper, Snoop Dogg has signed a deal with Harmonix, which will see some of his tracks released as downloadable content for the music and rhythm game, Rock Band 2.

"As the world of entertainment keeps changing, we felt it was the right time to let Snoop Dogg back on MTV so we could continue to run thangs with music, movies, DVDs and bring Hip-Hop to Rock Band," reads the official press release.

While we're not entirely sure just how Snoop Dogg's rap music will fit into Rock Bands vibe, it's going to be interested to see what tracks will be featured. Expect whatever tracks are chosen though to be heavily censored.

The press release is from the MTV camp, so we can expect further light to be shed on the matter by Rock Band 2's publisher, EA, soon. We await with baited breath.
