Most FPS gamers are licking in their lips in anticipation of Modern Warfare 2, but if you need a little extra Call of Duty in the interim, Treyarch has announced that Map Pack 3 for Call of Duty: World at War will become available on August 6th.
The release, available from Xbox Live Marketplace priced at 800 points or the PlayStation Store at a cost of $9.99, features three new multiplayer maps; Battery, Breach and Revolution (pictured), as well as new Zombie map Der Riese.
Sounds a useful addition, but is anybody else getting a little worried about the growing cost of modern games? Granted, I'm a little more stingy than most gamers - and you'd have to work hard pry my current balance of 2,900 MS points from my cold, dead hands - but the total cost of World at War addons now amounts of 2,400 MS points, that's just over £20.
Looking ahead, we could be facing a £54.99 RRP for Modern Warfare 2, throw in say a trio of map packs and you're looking at a theoretical total of around £75. Ouch.
