The Darkness 2, PC specs, demo and release date

Coinciding with the release of the Xbox 360 demo of Digital Extremes’ sequel to its fantasy-themed first-person shooter, Steam has released the official PC specifications needed to run The Darkness II.

Due for release on February 10th on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, the demo is currently available now exclusively for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, with a rollout planned to all other members and gaming platforms on January 25th.


Quad-wielding introduced to Digital Extremes’ stylish action horror title

To run The Darkness II on your PC, you’ll need to meet the minimum requirements as detailed below:

Minimum:
•    OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
•    Processor: Intel Core 2 @ 2GHz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
•    Memory: 1.5GB RAM
•    Hard disk space: 10GB
•    Video card: 256MB Nvidia GeForce 8600 / ATI Radeon HD 2600

Recommended:
•    OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
•    Processor: 2.4 GHz quad-core processor
•    Memory: 2GB RAM
•    Hard disk space: 10GB
•    Video card: 512+MB Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX
•    Sound: DirectX compatible

HEXUS went hands-on with The Darkness II back in September to test out the new quad-wielding mechanic, which looks set to give players an extra edge in combat.
