That's fightin' talk!
Jeff Armada, who choreographed the fight scenes in the Bourne films has been advising High Moon on the fightin moves used in the game as, as with the film, everything is a weapon. You can slam opponents into the walls, smash pictures on theirs heads, slam them into crates and do just about everything Bourne does in the movies. When you have a gun you can activate a quick targeting mode to take out the bad guys and switching between using your fists is fast and fluid with barely a pause in the action. Bourne will often be facing several enemies at once in close combat and there’s a quick action mode which let’s you takedown up to three opponents at once by pressing the required buttons at the right moment in time.. get it wrong and you find yourself in s standard fist fight… but with all the speed and aggression we’ve come to know from the films.
So, The Bourne Conspiracy follows the action of the first film pretty closely but expands upon it and even ventures into new areas with flashback sections as Bourne remembers snippets of his past and from what I’ve seen, it’s shaping up to be a pretty damn good game, but then again, if I’m allowed to shoot Clive Owen, how could it not be good?
The Bourne Conspiracy is slated for a mid-2008 release on Xbox 360 and PS3.
