The Battle of The Bulge

This time around MOH:EA has you playing the role of one William Holt, a US Army Intelligence Officer and a role which let’s the game ping you all over the place fighting in various areas of World War 2. You start off seconded to the formative SAS in their raid on St. Nazaire before being whisked off to fight alongside Montgomery and the Desert Rats in North Africa. Once you’ve saved the day there you’re dropped into Russia to help the Russian underground on the Eastern Front before legging it back in time to help your fellow US countrymen in the Battle of the Bulge.

Whilst this may sound like a lot, there’s actually only 11 missions in the whole game and, to be honest, everything has been done before, either by another of the MOH series or by Call of Duty, the ‘other’ superb WW2 franchise. The idea of playing the role of an intelligence officer is a good one which would explain the location hopping, but you can’t help but wonder just why an intelligence officer is doing so much fighting… Oh well, let’s ignore that and just get on with shooting stuff, eh?
