The clock is ticking...
Mercury Meltdown Remix is extremely addictive and the reward for finishing each level (aside from points) is the satisfaction you feel in beating some of the trickier puzzles. Beating the clock is extremely difficult, especially if you want to pick up all of the bonuses on each level and we were constantly returning back to a maze, time and time again to try and achieve this goal. There’s plenty of replay value in Mercury Meltdown Remix with over 200 levels and there’s no doubt that you’ll be returning to many of the more difficult levels in order to beat your score or to try an retrieve those difficult bonuses.
We couldn’t help thinking that Mercury Meltdown Remix would be a big hit if it was available on the Xbox live arcade. Unlocking achievements and being able to compete against gamers on a world-wide leaderboard would undoubtedly make the game even more addictive than it is already, but as it stands, we thoroughly enjoyed the challenges, the colour mixing puzzles, the intuitive response of the mercury blob and the range of well designed mazes.
