Burnt out

Online play is seamlessly integrated into the single player mode. There isn’t a lobby system; this is a persistent online world, where a simple tap of the d-pad opens up a menu where you can choose from a multitude of options to kick off your live experience.

There are over 300 challenges you can participate in and races can be configured, so you can pick and chose start and finish points. Labeled as ‘Easy Drive’ this streamlined system allows you to invite friends instantly without having to exit a game or enter a complicated menu system. Playing against human controlled vehicles is just so much better than AI and online the fun to be had really is endless. It is worth mentioning that Burnout Paradise does not have an offline multiplayer mode, which may irritate some, but if you've got a live account, it more than makes up for it.

Despite the changes and new additions to the series, if you strip away the outer layer of Burnout Paradise, with its new features, high production values and impressive physics engine, you’ll see that the heart of the Burnout is still in tact, beating as fast as a drum, fuelling our desire for destruction and our lust for speed.

As far as racing games go, Burnout Paradise is at the cutting edge of fast-paced driving games and for me, it has made my heart beat faster than any racing title before it.

For me Burnout is the best game I've purchased for the 360. I've played alot of great games but Burnout is the only game where I've clocked 40 hours of game play in about 40 hours (not literally but you get the point :stupid: ).

Online play has really drawn me in. Usually I'm a very quiet live player, other then a rising kill count and a few knifes to the backs I seldom get noticed. But Burnout has changed that for me, every server I go on I feel drawn to pee off as many people as possible. Yesterday I managed to get every player on the server to chase me constantly around the map for revenage due to my merciless actions of Taking down every player. Over the (really) loud, constant swearing you could hear me psycotically giggling away…

… I'll be online again tonight ^_^

This is what MS want. You to be online playing using Live and loving every minute of it.

I used to do the same with texas hold'em but I waited till 4 am before I went on after getting in from clubbing and some of the discussions we had were absolutely hilarious. If the drunken scottish crew read this, I salute you ( they'll know what I mean by that :))
Never heard of it.
I played the demo and for me they've totally ruined the Burnout franchise….Paradise feels like NFS: Most Wanted with nicer graphics. I don't know what Criterion were thinking by making their game look and feel like a NFS game, Burnout games before this one were unique had some great features (aftertouch for example) and now that they have gone, Burnout Paradise is just another of those NFS clones that get annoyingly repetitive…

PGR4 is still the king of Xbox360 racers for me…
