Summary

The Razer Onza Tournament Edition isn’t going to entirely replace my wireless official Xbox 360 controller. However, it is a solid second pad that I'll be using to complement the wirelress controller and use particularly for playing shooters, an area where it really excels. In particular, I love the flat action buttons and shorter travel distance on the triggers; and I like the option to remap buttons and change the resistance on the analogue sticks. On the other hand, the split d-pad is great for some games, but useless for others, and I'm not entirely convinced that the change to the positioning of the 'Start' button was necessary. It’s also a little disappointing that it couldn’t be a wireless product, but that's hardly the fault of Razer. Overall, the Razer Onza Tournament Edition has swiftly become my controller of choice for the likes of Black Ops, Crysis 2 and Homefront; and the more I use it, the more I can see and feel how its features really do help to improve your performance. Though not quite the all-conquering game controller I hoped it would be, there's nothing quite like this on the market. Overall, the Razer Onza Tournament Edition won't disappoint, and is sure to make a valuable edition to any serious gamer's home.
